Vecdi Ünüvar struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Mürsel Hekimbaşı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keçiörengücü. 11 minutes into the match, Bergama's goal looked a bit too open when Alphan Koçyiğit came free, but Mürsel Hekimbaşı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cenap Yaslı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Alphan Koçyiğit notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bergama's Mürsel Hekimbaşı. Mürsel Hekimbaşı was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Vecdi Ünüvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şahap Uca's late challenge caught a Keçiörengücü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şahap Uca helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Bergama got a freekick which was hit by Şahap Uca. Alphan Koçyiğit took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mürsel Hekimbaşı. Mürsel Hekimbaşı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Keçiörengücü's Vecdi Ünüvar got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alphan Koçyiğit in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mürsel Hekimbaşı saved Bergama from getting behind. Mürsel Hekimbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alphan Koçyiğit in the 35th minute of play. When Keçiörengücü's Alphan Koçyiğit in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bergama's goalie prevented a goal. If Vecdi Ünüvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes, Atak Ozansu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Keçiörengücü and the Bergama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Atak Ozansu hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Bergama players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Keçiörengücü were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alphan Koçyiğit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Çelikan Torum put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Keçiörengücü fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Vecdi Ünüvar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mürsel Hekimbaşı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 99 minutes, Vecdi Ünüvar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Keçiörengücü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vecdi Ünüvar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Bergama fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Keçiörengücü were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
