Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fenerbahce's Hasret Yazar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Yüce Server hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berke Işın blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Turan Oğuralp having to make a save. Turan Oğuralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artaç Perkel, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Kartal Orkutay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Naci Bilge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Fenerbahce defense, Yüce Server kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naci Bilge. The Fenerbahce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naci Bilge should have stopped the shot. Yüce Server recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İnanç Kayacan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Turan Oğuralp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahce's zone, Kartal Orkutay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naci Bilge came out of the goal and Kartal Orkutay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fenerbahce booed when FENERBAHÇE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Haşim Sureha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Yüce Server hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FENERBAHÇE! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Fenerbahce. Hasan Can Temizhan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Turan Oğuralp. 2-2. A collision led to FENERBAHÇE getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Kutluay Özhan hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Naci Bilge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murathan Ortaç in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahce's zone, Kartal Orkutay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naci Bilge came out of the goal and Kartal Orkutay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Murathan Ortaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahce's zone, Murathan Ortaç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naci Bilge came out of the goal and Murathan Ortaç tried to chip the ball over his head. Fenerbahce's Naci Bilge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kartal Orkutay in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kartal Orkutay in the 60th minute of play forced Fenerbahce's goalkeeper Naci Bilge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Turan Oğuralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasret Yazar in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65thth minute of the game Kartal Orkutay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahce's Naci Bilge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Naci Bilge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yüce Server, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kartal Orkutay in the 73rd minute of play forced Fenerbahce's goalkeeper Naci Bilge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Kartal Orkutay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Naci Bilge was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Murathan Ortaç blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Naci Bilge having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Yüce Server came free, but Naci Bilge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kutluay Özhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kutluay Özhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fenerbahce succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FENERBAHÇE had controlled the match.
