Ziya Akboy started the match with the kick off. Mehmet Hamdi Beksan kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Şinasi Şahbaz came free, but Cankut Selami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ziya Akboy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karhan Gülle having to make a save. After 17 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Yavuzalp Dirayet. Şinasi Şahbaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karhan Gülle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziya Akboy in the 21st minute of play. Şinasi Şahbaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karhan Gülle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziya Akboy, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Ziya Akboy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ziya Akboy might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karhan Gülle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ziya Akboy ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, Real Mardin's goal looked a bit too open when Ziya Akboy came free, but Karhan Gülle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes of play Fenerbahçe's Yavuzalp Dirayet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Real Mardin booed when Fenerbahçe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuzalp Dirayet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Karhan Gülle made a huge save. Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karhan Gülle having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ceyhan Ünveren was the one to do the kick off. After 61 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Tahir Berin. After having played for 66 minutes, Ceyhan Ünveren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Mardin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceyhan Ünveren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mehmet Anıl Çanak kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Tahir Berin. 72 minutes into the match, Real Mardin's Arman Özen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Karhan Gülle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karhan Gülle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Tahir Berin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karhan Gülle was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Ceyhan Ünveren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cankut Selami having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Tahir Berin got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arman Özen, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
