The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Mustafa İzzet Başay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tavas and the Kara Harp Okulu players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tavas getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Mustafa İzzet Başay hit a great ball. 6 minutes in the game, Dilaver Orsel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Asım Arif Usbay having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Ahmet Oğuz Ökkeş made a precise shot to the right of Baki Balkoç. Kara Harp Okulu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ahmet Oğuz Ökkeş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdurrahim Akaydın in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baki Balkoç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mehmet Edip Tayfur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Arif Usbay having to interfere. Dilaver Orsel struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Asım Arif Usbay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kara Harp Okulu. If Fuat Erdoğdu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fuat Erdoğdu charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fuat Erdoğdu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tavas booed when Kara Harp Okulu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fuat Erdoğdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehmet Ali Rıfkı hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Oğuz Ökkeş in the 42nd minute of play forced Kara Harp Okulu's goalkeeper Baki Balkoç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdurrahim Akaydın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
