Abdi Saygın Özgenay made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kaplan FK's İlyas Tolga Gökekin. Kamil Başaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünal Sudi having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agostinho Bueno during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kaplan FK's Agostinho Bueno got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ziya Onur Taif managed to get in a good position for a shot. A collision led to Kaplan FK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kamil Başaran hit a great ball. Loïc Vigoureux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rüştü Batıray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaplan FK's Ziya Onur Taif got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Agostinho Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Necdet Şehzade struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ünal Sudi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kaplan FK. Kamil Başaran hit a great ball. Loïc Vigoureux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kutluay Safir in the 98th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Kaplan FK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
