Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aşkın Geylan kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Şentürk Nursal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ergani's supporters rose to their feet, but Şentürk Nursal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genco Totuk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the game, ElazığSpor's Aşkın Geylan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cemal Esir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferman Batır during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Dündar Kaplan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uluç Yıldıray kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kahraman Okatan in the 20th minute of play forced Ergani's goalkeeper Cemal Esir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Ahmet Özaltan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ergani's Cemal Esir. Cemal Esir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cemal Esir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aşkın Geylan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the ElazığSpor defense, Fahrettin Üzer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genco Totuk. The ElazığSpor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genco Totuk should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Ergani's Genco Totuk threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Şentürk Nursal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, ElazığSpor's Genco Totuk got control of the ball when Fahrettin Üzer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cemal Esir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kahraman Okatan in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Ahmet Özaltan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemal Esir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Ergani got a freekick which was hit by Çağan Taluy. 1-3 came in the 40th minute when Aşır Tüzünalp all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Cemal Esir.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şentürk Nursal to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Kahraman Okatan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemal Esir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ergani getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dursun Ali Özatay hit a great ball. Namık Masum scored 1-4 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cemal Esir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cemal Esir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aşkın Geylan in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Ahmet Özaltan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ElazığSpor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 76th minute Aşkın Geylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemal Esir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ergani's Cemal Esir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Ergani from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as ElazığSpor's Ahmet Özaltan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cemal Esir. That made the score 1-6 after 84 minutes of play. In the 88th minute of the match, Aşkın Geylan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cemal Esir saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Dündar Kaplan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Dursun Ali Özatay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ergani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ElazığSpor the free kick. After 92 played minutes Ergani got a freekick which was hit by Dursun Ali Özatay. ElazığSpor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
