Saffet Şinas scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atıf Sami, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th match minute, Sariyerspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vural Özcam to maneuver through the defense. Yusuf Tatu succeeded in the game's 18th minute to get real power on a long shot . Sariyerspor's Salih Hacılar hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-1! The crowd rose to their feet as Edip Tuğcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Salih Hacılar. That made the score 2-1 in the 28 minute of play. Edip Tuğcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Salih Hacılar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Saffet Şinas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sariyerspor's Vural Sami in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Afjet Afyonspor's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saffet Şinas in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atıf Sami prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saffet Şinas was the one to do the kick off. Saffet Şinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, Afjet Afyonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edip Tuğcu to maneuver through the defense. When Saffet Şinas fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sariyerspor's protests and gave Saffet Şinas a yellow card for diving instead. Saffet Şinas hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Mümtazer Onay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Afjet Afyonspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sariyerspor the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Afjet Afyonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mümtazer Onay to maneuver through the defense. Atıf Sami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saffet Şinas in the 61st minute of play. Saffet Şinas struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Atıf Sami didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sariyerspor. 66 minutes into the match, Sariyerspor's Saffet Şinas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atıf Sami narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute Mustafa Ali Şakir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salih Hacılar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sariyerspor's Enis Türegün got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afjet Afyonspor's Atıf Sami proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Afjet Afyonspor from getting a goal against them. Sariyerspor's Saffet Şinas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vural Sami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Ali Şakir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salih Hacılar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Afjet Afyonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Saffet Şinas came free, but Atıf Sami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Afjet Afyonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Asım Akmanoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Saffet Şinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Afjet Afyonspor got a freekick which was hit by Edip Tuğcu. Sariyerspor's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Afjet Afyonspor had won, even though Sariyerspor had held more of the ball.
