The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Beytüssebap fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Beytüssebap's Abdulbaki Ağaverdi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beytüssebap's goalkeeper Arda Ozan Kerim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ahmet Kutsi Tamerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdulbaki Ağaverdi in the 13th minute of play. If Abdulbaki Ağaverdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hasan Tahsin Tanju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Ertan Yağızkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Güneysu SK booed when Beytüssebap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ümit Hidayettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Kutsi Tamerk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdulbaki Ağaverdi's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Mahmut Urgun struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ahmet Kutsi Tamerk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beytüssebap. If Hasan Tahsin Tanju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erdem Yeğrek fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beytüssebap's protests and gave Erdem Yeğrek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Beytüssebap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erdem Yeğrek to maneuver through the defense. Mahmut Urgun's late challenge caught a Güneysu SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mahmut Urgun helped the player get up and apologised. Mahmut Urgun hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Hasan Tahsin Tanju might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arda Ozan Kerim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hasan Tahsin Tanju ran back to his position shaking his head. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Beytüssebap! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdulbaki Ağaverdi to strike the kick off in the second half. Arda Ozan Kerim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emrullah Sarp in the 51st minute of the match. Arda Ozan Kerim made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Hasan Tahsin Tanju sent off a good shot on target. Güneysu SK's Ahmet Kutsi Tamerk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulbaki Ağaverdi in the 62nd minute of play. Abdulbaki Ağaverdi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Kutsi Tamerk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ertan Yağızkan in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arda Ozan Kerim saved Beytüssebap from getting behind. If Ertan Yağızkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
