The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Catalpinar's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Harun Oğuztan came free, but Bektaş Ali Türehan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Atıf Garipoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Nuratay Baytüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bektaş Ali Türehan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Harun Oğuztan, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Atıf Garipoğlu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuratay Baytüzün prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ziya Duran hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Catalpinar's zone, Ahmet Harun Oğuztan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bektaş Ali Türehan came out of the goal and Ahmet Harun Oğuztan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet İlhan Sarif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. BEŞİKTAŞ JK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
