Battal Hüryaşar had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Tayyar Göktürk's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neşat Barbaros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Korkmazcity booed when Kartal Yuvası was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsmen Türkyılmaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Neşat Barbaros managed to get in a good position for a shot.
