When Vefa Azimoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Domanic SK's protests and gave Vefa Azimoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Domanic SK got a freekick which was hit by Vefa Azimoğlu. After a defensive mix-up in Domanic SK's zone, Ulvi Onul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lütfü Akansel came out of the goal and Ulvi Onul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Domanic SK's Ferdi Hiçsönmez got a free kick in the 18th minute. Vefa Azimoğlu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Domanic SK's zone, Recai Şafakoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lütfü Akansel came out of the goal and Recai Şafakoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulvi Onul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lütfü Akansel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fuat Şam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Dionísio having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MERZİFON SPOR! 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by MERZİFON SPOR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bumin Mehdi was slow to take the kick. During this time Domanic SK's players had a chance to rest. Bumin Mehdi made a great header on Domanic SK's corner, it was just that MERZİFON SPOR's Silvinho Dionísio managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to MERZİFON SPOR getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ulvi Onul hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Fuat Şam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulvi Onul made a kick off. Lütfü Akansel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yalçın Üstay, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Fuat Şam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Domanic SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fuat Şam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Domanic SK's Fuat Şam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silvinho Dionísio. That made the score 1-1 after 61 minutes of play. In the 65th minute, Olcay Yenisey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Domanic SK getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Olcay Yenisey hit a great ball. Yalçın Üstay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lütfü Akansel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yalçın Üstay in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lütfü Akansel saved Domanic SK from getting behind. Silvinho Dionísio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 70th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bumin Mehdi. After a defensive mix-up in MERZİFON SPOR's zone, Vefa Azimoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Dionísio came out of the goal and Vefa Azimoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MERZİFON SPOR's Silvinho Dionísio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save MERZİFON SPOR from getting a goal against them. Recai Şafakoğlu struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Lütfü Akansel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MERZİFON SPOR. Fuat Şam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Yalçın Üstay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lütfü Akansel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olcay Yenisey got free with Silvinho Dionísio in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
