In the 4th minute Gani Şahbazoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaşar Salik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cihan Akil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alim Baytüze in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FenerbahceSport's zone, Alphan Tuğtaşı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cihan Akil came out of the goal and Alphan Tuğtaşı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Sebat FK's Alphan Tuğtaşı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cihan Akil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Utkan Halıcıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes into the game, Ergün İley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yaşar Salik. Ergün İley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, one of Sebat FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Utkan Halıcıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphan Tuğtaşı in the 29th minute of play forced FenerbahceSport's goalkeeper Cihan Akil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Gani Şahbazoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serter Sarduç hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, FenerbahceSport's goal looked a bit too open when Utkan Halıcıoğlu came free, but Cihan Akil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When Alphan Tuğtaşı came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sebat FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alphan Tuğtaşı couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FenerbahceSport's Kutlay Ayıkoğlu got a free kick in the 58th minute. Nuri Tuygun kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. A hard shot 62 in the game by Utkan Halıcıoğlu from a close distance when the talented Cihan Akil managed to make a qualified save. FenerbahceSport's players were relieved. The referee ignored FenerbahceSport's protests and gave Kutlay Ayıkoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, FenerbahceSport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutlay Ayıkoğlu to maneuver through the defense. If Kutlay Ayıkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
