The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Talha Tezalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yıldırım Hoyrat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Devlet Erüstün during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Devlet Erüstün hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Talha Tezalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yıldırım Hoyrat in the 9th minute of the match. Yıldırım Hoyrat struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Talha Tezalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ovacik. Haşim Kutam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Meriç Lokman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovacik's Meriç Lokman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ovacik from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ovacik booed when Körfez FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramazan Uygu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talha Tezalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Ceyhan Özerkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Haşim Kutam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Devlet Erüstün was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. In the 34th match minute, Körfez FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devlet Erüstün to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Ahmet Ceyhan Özerkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talha Tezalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Yıldırım Hoyrat notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Körfez FK's Talha Tezalp. Talha Tezalp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Talha Tezalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yıldırım Hoyrat in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Körfez FK's zone, Ahmet Ceyhan Özerkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Talha Tezalp came out of the goal and Ahmet Ceyhan Özerkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Ovacik were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Haşim Kutam made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Ahmet Haşim Boz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ovacik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Haşim Boz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Yıldırım Hoyrat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haşim Kutam hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Yıldırım Hoyrat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Yıldırım Hoyrat came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ovacik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yıldırım Hoyrat couldn't finish the play. 0-2 became the score in the 70th minute when Yıldırım Hoyrat elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Yıldırım Hoyrat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Kurtuluş Zülfikar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Hasan Ali Tokel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 100 minutes, Ersin Sertaçgil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ovacik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ersin Sertaçgil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ovacik players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
