In the 6th match minute, Baskale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şahin Selami to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Kosuyolu booed when Baskale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. After a rather tough play, Kosuyolu's Arif Ensar Urandu got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gafur Dilsaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abidin Hükümran having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, Cenap Ülken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kosuyolu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cenap Ülken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Baskale's goal looked a bit too open when Çağatay Cansefa came free, but Osman Nuri Horasanlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Necaettin Cezar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Batur Başsoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kosuyolu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Osman Nuri Horasanlı was a little too slow when Cenap Ülken got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 1-4. The Kosuyolu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kosuyolu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
