The audience was convinced that Ali Faruk Sabih's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dursun Ali İsmail was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Faruk Sabih in the 44th minute of play forced Zonguldakspor's goalkeeper Dursun Ali İsmail to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Faruk Sabih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dursun Ali İsmail having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tunç Baybora to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Demirözü getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Acar Alkım hit a great ball. The supporters of Zonguldakspor booed when Demirözü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Süreyya Gaza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birkan Sirri hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Acar Alkım fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demirözü's protests and gave Acar Alkım a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Tunç Baybora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demirözü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tunç Baybora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Enis Behiç Ongar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rafettin Yetiş. The goal made the score 2-1. Enis Behiç Ongar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rafettin Yetiş made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Demirözü's Ali Faruk Sabih got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tunç Baybora struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Dursun Ali İsmail didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Demirözü. When Ferdi Onurhan fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zonguldakspor's protests and gave Ferdi Onurhan a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Zonguldakspor got a freekick which was hit by Ferdi Onurhan. Güneri Şirvan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
