Turgut Nebi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Arif Çelebi Cihanmert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgut Nebi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Çelebi Cihanmert in the 15th minute of play forced Girne FK's goalkeeper Turgut Nebi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Turgut Nebi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdurrahim Okan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Çelebi Cihanmert in the 27th minute of play forced Girne FK's goalkeeper Turgut Nebi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Turgut Nebi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Arif Çelebi Cihanmert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Turgut Nebi. Girne FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arif Çelebi Cihanmert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 36 played minutes Girne FK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu. After having played for 40 minutes, Arif Çelebi Cihanmert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yakakent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arif Çelebi Cihanmert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Girne FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu to maneuver through the defense. Habib Arısoy charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Habib Arısoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Yakakent booed when Girne FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Habib Arısoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Yakakent's Derman İzgi tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Abdurrahim Okan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Turgut Nebi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Turgut Nebi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Çelebi Cihanmert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Yakakent's Ferhat Uğuş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Turgut Nebi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Abdurrahim Okan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Abdurrahim Okan made a precise shot to the right of Turgut Nebi. Girne FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Arif Çelebi Cihanmert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Turgut Nebi. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Abdurrahim Okan made a precise shot to the right of Turgut Nebi. Girne FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Abdurrahim Okan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 76th playminute. Yakakent's Abdurrahim Okan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Turgut Nebi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arif Çelebi Cihanmert's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Arif Çelebi Cihanmert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turgut Nebi was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Abdurrahim Okan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 95th playminute. When the final whistle sounded Yakakent left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Girne FK.
