Girne FK's Turgut Nebi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şehzade Çelikoz in the 17th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Erol Balamir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cicekdagi JK and the Girne FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cicekdagi JK's Erol Balamir got a free kick in the 24th minute. Şehzade Çelikoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Semavi Hürsel in the 32nd minute of play forced Girne FK's goalkeeper Turgut Nebi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Girne FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cicekdagi JK the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Girne FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu to maneuver through the defense. A hard, long distance shot from Semavi Hürsel flew over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Erdem Derdiyok during the 40th minute. Cicekdagi JK played a much better game than Girne FK and deserved their victory. The Girne FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
