Adana Demir Spo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Nafiz Kutunalp ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ahmet Nafiz Kutunalp made a great header on Gölköy's corner, it was just that Adana Demir Spo's Onurhan Hekimoğlu managed to reach the ball for a save. Semih Onar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peyami Kapkin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gölköy's Şinasi Işınay got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 49th minute, Müfit Cerit made a precise shot to the right of Onurhan Hekimoğlu. Adana Demir Spo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 57th minute Cevdet Tolgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onurhan Hekimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Müfit Cerit in the 58th minute of play forced Adana Demir Spo's goalkeeper Onurhan Hekimoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Peyami Kapkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adana Demir Spo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peyami Kapkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ahmet Nafiz Kutunalp came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Gölköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Nafiz Kutunalp couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes, Gölköy's Ahmet Nafiz Kutunalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Onurhan Hekimoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gölköy reached it. Gölköy's Semih Onar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyami Kapkin in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Gürcan Haneci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st match minute, Gölköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanju Bakkalbaşı to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Cevdet Tolgan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Onurhan Hekimoğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
