The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Gökceada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazil Durhal to maneuver through the defense. Şeray Soysaltürk charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şeray Soysaltürk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kasımpasaspor booed when Gökceada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazil Durhal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sertaç Kamil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şeray Soysaltürk in the 34th minute. Sertaç Kamil made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Hüseyin Tellioğlu sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 38 minutes, Süleyman Sururi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gökceada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Süleyman Sururi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kasımpasaspor's zone, Süleyman Sururi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Talat Tekinel came out of the goal and Süleyman Sururi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sertaç Kamil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedir Erentürk in the 44th minute of the match. Hüseyin Tellioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Sertaç Kamil made a huge save. Sertaç Kamil made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Şeray Soysaltürk sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bedir Erentürk was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Süleyman Sururi in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Talat Tekinel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Kasımpasaspor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Süleyman Sururi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Talat Tekinel made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Kurtuluş Mehdi sent off a good shot on target. Talat Tekinel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Arif Acaroğlu in the 63rd minute of the match. Süleyman Sururi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Talat Tekinel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Süleyman Sururi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talat Tekinel having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Kurtuluş Mehdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Talat Tekinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süleyman Sururi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Kurtuluş Mehdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talat Tekinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süleyman Sururi in the 81st minute of play. Talat Tekinel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Süleyman Sururi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurtuluş Mehdi in the 84th minute of play forced Kasımpasaspor's goalkeeper Talat Tekinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talat Tekinel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Süleyman Sururi in the 86th minute of the match. Gökceada's Sertaç Kamil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şeray Soysaltürk in the 88th minute of play. Sertaç Kamil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şeray Soysaltürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Şeray Soysaltürk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sertaç Kamil. Gökceada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Şeray Soysaltürk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
