Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ayberk Canal started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Tesvikiye's Ayberk Canal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sezai Doğay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Trabzonspor's Sezai Doğay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayberk Canal in the 6th minute of play. Taci Cebel kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Tesvikiye's Ahmet Erdem Açıkgün couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Trabzonspor. Sezai Doğay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Bülent Kırgız in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Batu Cem Tunçkurt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erkan Ademoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erkan Ademoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Balaban Atik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Erkan Ademoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halim Rafettin in the 26th minute of play forced Tesvikiye's goalkeeper Balaban Atik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Bülent Kırgız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezai Doğay having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, one of Tesvikiye:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tesvikiye. Balaban Atik went to the wrong direction when İlhami Uygu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 37 minutes, Ahmet Bülent Kırgız made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Trabzonspor's Sezai Doğay tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ufuk Aşık hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Halim Rafettin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Balaban Atik. The goal made the score 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Halim Rafettin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Bülent Kırgız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sezai Doğay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abbas Oktay hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Erkan Ademoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erkan Ademoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balaban Atik having to interfere. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Tesvikiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Bülent Kırgız didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Trabzonspor's Erkan Ademoğlu in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute, Yavuz Selim Barbaros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Tesvikiye's goal looked a bit too open when Halim Rafettin came free, but Balaban Atik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Erkan Ademoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tesvikiye supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tesvikiye would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
