The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Cuma Sarıcabay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hilmi Ökkeş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agah Tanyolaç in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Karamadrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Onur Hicab to maneuver through the defense. Karamadrid's Nadir Yaver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atalay Cespan in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cuma Saatçioğlu in the 29th minute of play forced BEKTAŞOĞLU's goalkeeper Hilmi Ökkeş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Ertaç Yalaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ertaç Yalaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cuma Saatçioğlu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Hilmi Ökkeş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karamadrid. Poyraz Cenker charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Poyraz Cenker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Karamadrid booed when BEKTAŞOĞLU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Poyraz Cenker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match, Agah Tanyolaç got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hilmi Ökkeş was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hilmi Ökkeş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ertaç Yalaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored Karamadrid's protests and gave Utku Türkoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Utku Türkoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Karamadrid's Nadir Yaver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atalay Cespan in the 68th minute of play. Hakkı Onur Hicab was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 72 played minutes, BEKTAŞOĞLU's Çağrı Yetkin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nadir Yaver came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BEKTAŞOĞLU reached it. Hilmi Ökkeş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cuma Saatçioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Karamadrid's zone, Atalay Cespan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nadir Yaver came out of the goal and Atalay Cespan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, BEKTAŞOĞLU's goal looked a bit too open when Cuma Saatçioğlu came free, but Hilmi Ökkeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atalay Cespan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Karamadrid could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BEKTAŞOĞLU throughout the match.
