Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Doğuş Yaygır took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Hüseyin Rahmi Özbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Etimesgut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüseyin Rahmi Özbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, one of Etimesgut:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Etimesgut. The goalkeeper, Akgün Yıldız, was totally fooled by GALATASARAY's Mirza Selil, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. GALATASARAY were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Etimesgut's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mirza Selil took the corner. GALATASARAY's Haşmet Demiralp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Akgün Yıldız in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bilgin Turbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Etimesgut's Akgün Yıldız proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Etimesgut from getting a goal against them. GALATASARAY's Merih Kayrahan got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Akgün Yıldız made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Merih Kayrahan sent off a good shot on target. Merih Kayrahan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akgün Yıldız having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Akif Tayfur was the one to do the kick off. Gafur İpekli's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gafur İpekli helped the player get up and apologised. 53 minutes into the game, one of Etimesgut:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hüseyin Rahmi Özbal got free with Onurhan Temircan in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merih Kayrahan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akgün Yıldız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doğuş Yaygır, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Etimesgut's Gafur İpekli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for GALATASARAY. 71 minutes in the game, Akif Tayfur fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Onurhan Temircan having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Doğuş Yaygır got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75thth minute of the game Doğuş Yaygır who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Etimesgut's Akgün Yıldız was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute Merih Kayrahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akgün Yıldız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Merih Kayrahan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GALATASARAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Merih Kayrahan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akgün Yıldız having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Doğuş Yaygır managed to get in a good position for a shot. GALATASARAY's supporters rose to their feet, but Doğuş Yaygır was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akgün Yıldız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Merih Kayrahan in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akgün Yıldız prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Merih Kayrahan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akgün Yıldız was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Etimesgut's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
