FENERBAHÇE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Etimesgut the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, FENERBAHÇE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Habib Kayhan to maneuver through the defense. Akif Tayfur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kandemir Özkutal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kandemir Özkutal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akif Tayfur, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Etimesgut's Hüseyin Rahmi Özbal got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Akgün Yıldız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lokman Cumali in the 20th minute of play. Lokman Cumali's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Akgün Yıldız read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Kandemir Özkutal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akif Tayfur in the 24th minute of the match. If Hüseyin Rahmi Özbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kandemir Özkutal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akif Tayfur in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Anıl Berk İlbilge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Nusret Adılhan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Etimesgut's Akgün Yıldız didn't even have to move. 39 minutes into the match, Yüksel Vefalı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akgün Yıldız. Etimesgut's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yüksel Vefalı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Akif Tayfur was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Akif Tayfur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kandemir Özkutal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FENERBAHÇE getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Melik Selim hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Gafur İpekli sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FENERBAHÇE's Kandemir Özkutal didn't even have to move. Akgün Yıldız made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Yüksel Vefalı sent off a good shot on target. Hüseyin Rahmi Özbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kandemir Özkutal having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Akif Tayfur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Lokman Cumali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FENERBAHÇE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lokman Cumali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FENERBAHÇE's Kandemir Özkutal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akif Tayfur in the 77th minute of play. Aytaç Karakaya kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Yüksel Vefalı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Akgün Yıldız tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Etimesgut got a freekick which was hit by Kartal Özveren. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Lokman Cumali managed to get in a good position for a shot. FENERBAHÇE's supporters rose to their feet, but Lokman Cumali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akgün Yıldız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Akgün Yıldız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lokman Cumali in the 92nd minute of the match. FENERBAHÇE's Melik Selim got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yüksel Vefalı in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Akgün Yıldız, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The FENERBAHÇE players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Etimesgut from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
