Ovacik's Osman Hızlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sancarbey Uzsan in the 17th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Şerif Veziroğlu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osman Hızlı. Şerif Veziroğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 27 minutes into the game, Ovacik's İlhan Daman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sercan Canfeda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Osman Hızlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şerif Veziroğlu in the 31st minute. İlhan Daman charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed İlhan Daman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. İlhan Daman hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sercan Canfeda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İlhan Daman's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Afsin JK's Sancarbey Uzsan got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Adem Oğuzbala in the 57th minute of play forced Ovacik's goalkeeper Osman Hızlı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Afsin JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some careless play in the Ovacik defense, Aral Kaptan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osman Hızlı. The Ovacik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osman Hızlı should have stopped the shot. Osman Hızlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aral Kaptan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th of the match, Necaettin Tura tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Sercan Canfeda got in the way and made a wonderful save.
