The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enginalp Gemici helped the player get up and apologised. Serhat Ekemen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enginalp Gemici in the 7th minute of the match. Recep Talha Tanay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Meriç Kızılateş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gürgentep's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kaptan Ekemen 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Meriç Kızılateş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaptan Ekemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kaptan Ekemen came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Fenerbahçe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaptan Ekemen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when Gürgentep was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necip Fazıl Lefter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şahin Ergener kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Fenerbahçe's attack was well implemented in the 34th minute, but when Recep Talha Tanay was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Gürgentep's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Yetkin Ganim scored to the left of an out of position Meriç Kızılateş, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaptan Ekemen in the 41st minute of play forced Gürgentep's goalkeeper Meriç Kızılateş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nazmi Önateş fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gürgentep's protests and gave Nazmi Önateş a yellow card for diving instead. Recep Talha Tanay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Meriç Kızılateş made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Recep Talha Tanay got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Kaptan Ekemen made the kick off in the second half. Meriç Kızılateş didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Recep Talha Tanay went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Necip Fazıl Lefter charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Necip Fazıl Lefter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Recep Talha Tanay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute Kaptan Ekemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meriç Kızılateş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaptan Ekemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meriç Kızılateş having to interfere. Meriç Kızılateş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Recep Talha Tanay in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, one of Gürgentep:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gürgentep. Pars Ünal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Serhat Ekemen made a huge save. In the 85th minute Baran Uygun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serhat Ekemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fenerbahçe fully deserved thier win.
