Sungur Canaydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derman Yuluğ having to interfere. Aysan Öktemer scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mehmet Ferit Zihni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sungur Canaydin spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Unkapani's goal. Mehmet Ferit Zihni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kıraç Uman in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Unkapani's goal looked a bit too open when Nedim Şanlı came free, but Derman Yuluğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salihli's Sungur Canaydin got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kıraç Uman to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bora Bülbül fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salihli's protests and gave Bora Bülbül a yellow card for diving instead. Bora Bülbül hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Sungur Canaydin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unkapani's Derman Yuluğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nedim Şanlı in the 67th minute of play. The Salihli fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Salihli's Nedim Şanlı looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mehmet Ferit Zihni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kıraç Uman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sungur Canaydin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kıraç Uman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sungur Canaydin might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Derman Yuluğ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sungur Canaydin ran back to his position shaking his head. Aysan Öktemer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Salihli's goalkeeper Mehmet Ferit Zihni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aysan Öktemer.
