After 3 minutes, Lütfi Birdal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menderes and the FenerBahçe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lütfi Birdal hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When FenerBahçe's Anıl Mücahit Ercan in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Menderes's goalie prevented a goal. Ahmet Ömür Tuncer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ogün Songur having to interfere. Gürkan Kudsi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to Menderes getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cevat Tuz hit a great ball. Cevat Tuz kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Erberk Cinel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menderes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erberk Cinel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gürkan Kudsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes FenerBahçe got a freekick which was hit by Zaid Çol. Haşmet Paksoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erberk Cinel in the 41st minute of play. Yakup Yiğitkan scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haşmet Paksoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anıl Mücahit Ercan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Menderes's Gürkan Kudsi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haşmet Paksoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yakup Yiğitkan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Haşmet Paksoy came out and tried to block the shot, but Yakup Yiğitkan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. In the 59th match minute, Menderes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yakup Yiğitkan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ömür Tuncer in the 60th minute of play forced Menderes's goalkeeper Ogün Songur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Berkant Civanmert kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FenerBahçe's Kılıçhan Beyazit tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Erberk Cinel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haşmet Paksoy having to interfere. A collision led to FenerBahçe getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zaid Çol hit a great ball. Erberk Cinel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Haşmet Paksoy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erberk Cinel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haşmet Paksoy having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FenerBahçe's zone, Erberk Cinel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haşmet Paksoy came out of the goal and Erberk Cinel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gürkan Kudsi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haşmet Paksoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erberk Cinel in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind FenerBahçe's goalkeeper Haşmet Paksoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gürkan Kudsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haşmet Paksoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yakup Yiğitkan in the 93rd minute. The FenerBahçe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Menderes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
