Nusret Kayral charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nusret Kayral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the match, Ulus's goal looked a bit too open when Nurtekin İzzettin came free, but Devrim Trabzonlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Nurtekin İzzettin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaw Pionek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Haşim Kara having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Gustaw Pionek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kartal Ergüç fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eski Açık Sarı Desene's protests and gave Kartal Ergüç a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Ulus's Ahmet Haşim Kara threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustaw Pionek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. İskender Baki Uzsan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Ahmet Haşim Kara made a huge save. Devrim Trabzonlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sancarbey Tufan, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes, Gustaw Pionek made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Ahmet Haşim Kara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. İskender Baki Uzsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ulus booed when Eski Açık Sarı Desene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nurtekin İzzettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Haşim Kara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Pionek in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Ulus got a corner. Eski Açık Sarı Desene's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saadettin Erengüç ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gustaw Pionek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Atabey Kutlug dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Devrim Trabzonlu, 1-1. Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Ahmet Haşim Kara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaw Pionek in the 86th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Nurtekin İzzettin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Devrim Trabzonlu. That made the score 2-2 after 89 minutes of play. Gustaw Pionek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
