İstanbul FC's Aktan İltemur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hazım Gökalp in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of İstanbul FC booed when Gouveia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Semavi Uzcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feyzullay Necati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aykan Gence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hazım Gökalp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aktan İltemur having to make a save. Ali Erdem Tandoğdu charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Erdem Tandoğdu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 21 minutes into the game, Fazlı Akata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gouveia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave İstanbul FC the free kick. Semavi Uzcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in İstanbul FC's zone, Hazım Gökalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aktan İltemur came out of the goal and Hazım Gökalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Semavi Uzcan in the 30th minute of play forced İstanbul FC's goalkeeper Aktan İltemur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play Gouveia FC's Fazlı Akata was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of İstanbul FC booed when Gouveia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fazlı Akata didn't get a good kick on the ball. İstanbul FC's Tamer Uyguralp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gouveia FC. Hazım Gökalp kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. İstanbul FC's Feyzullay Necati got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gouveia FC's Hazım Gökalp got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Hazım Gökalp off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Feyzullay Necati managed to get in a good position for a shot. İstanbul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Feyzullay Necati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aykan Gence breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Semavi Uzcan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aktan İltemur was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

In the 57th minute, Mahsun Timurcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 60 minutes, Ferman Erenoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gouveia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferman Erenoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, İstanbul FC's Sancarbey Tunçboğa got a free kick in the 60th minute. Mahsun Timurcan struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Aktan İltemur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gouveia FC. Sancarbey Tunçboğa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of İstanbul FC booed when Gouveia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aysan Yoran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aktan İltemur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferman Erenoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
