When Musa Yazganalp came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Beşiktaş JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Musa Yazganalp couldn't finish the play. Şentürk Peker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Musa Yazganalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Musa Yazganalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Şentürk Peker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Mustafa Namık Mukaddes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş JK's zone, Türkeş Işınbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Veysel Beşir came out of the goal and Türkeş Işınbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Musa Yazganalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şentürk Peker having to interfere. Musa Yazganalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Şentürk Peker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Beşiktaş JK booed when Göztepe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Arif Toker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beşiktaş JK's Saltuk Sair got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Göztepe's goalkeeper Şentürk Peker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Özcan Demircioğlu. Veysel Beşir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Türkeş Işınbay's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Beşiktaş JK's Veysel Beşir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Türkeş Işınbay in the 91st minute of play. Çağan Okgüç's late challenge caught a Göztepe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Çağan Okgüç helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Beşiktaş JK got a freekick which was hit by Çağan Okgüç. Musa Yazganalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Şentürk Peker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Göztepe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Beşiktaş JK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
