The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Faruk Resul got free with Birol Turalp in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the game, Sancak fc's Ataman Yatman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andaç Zeren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 minutes, Demirhan Nazım mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ankara and the Sancak fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Demirhan Nazım hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Tibet Ülgener's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Birol Turalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. When Ataman Yatman came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sancak fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ataman Yatman couldn't finish the play. Ataman Yatman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tibet Ülgener fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ankara's protests and gave Tibet Ülgener a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sancak fc booed when Ankara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibet Ülgener didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Tibet Ülgener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birol Turalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibet Ülgener struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Birol Turalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ankara. If Ataman Yatman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ankara's Demirhan Nazım got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Demirhan Nazım off the ground. The supporters of Sancak fc booed when Ankara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demirhan Nazım didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sancak fc's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ali Faruk Resul 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Ali Faruk Resul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ankara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Faruk Resul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Sancak fc's goalkeeper Birol Turalp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anıl Ege Nazif. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Coşkun Şahsuvaroğlu struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Andaç Zeren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sancak fc. Muzaffer Rafet kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Ankara getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Emirhan Muzaffer hit a great ball. Ankara's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ataman Yatman 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Faruk Resul in the 64th minute of play forced Sancak fc's goalkeeper Birol Turalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birol Turalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibet Ülgener, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 67 minutes of play, Sancak fc's Coşkun Şahsuvaroğlu made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andaç Zeren was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute, Ali Faruk Resul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ankara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. 74 minutes into the match, Ali Faruk Resul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birol Turalp. Sancak fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Faruk Resul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. In the 78th match minute, Ankara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Engin Masum to maneuver through the defense. Birol Turalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Faruk Resul in the 80th minute of play. Muzaffer Rafet hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ankara had won after a very even match.
