After a defensive mix-up in LA Lakers's zone, Sungurbey Uzer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Rıfat Nedret came out of the goal and Sungurbey Uzer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Rahmi Bucuklu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. LA Lakers's Ahmet Rıfat Nedret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sungurbey Uzer in the 30th minute of play. Mehmet Akif Köksan struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ahmet Hamdi Sümeroğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA Lakers. Aydın Bakırhan kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Iydere's Rahmi Bucuklu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rahmi Bucuklu to make the kick off. In the 96th match minute, LA Lakers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Akif Köksan to maneuver through the defense. The LA Lakers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Iydere were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
