İrfan Korkut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serhat Akartürk having to interfere. The supporters of Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü booed when Esentepe SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nurettin Kocaalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferit Gökdoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nurkan Binışık tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necmi Sidar in the 18th minute of play forced Esentepe SK's goalkeeper Nurkan Binışık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saltuk Bircanoğlu during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 23 minutes into the match, Esentepe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ferit Gökdoğan came free, but Nurkan Binışık reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü's Ferit Gökdoğan got a free kick in the 24th minute. If İrfan Korkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. But to his dismay, Necmi Sidar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü's goalkeeper Serhat Akartürk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rıfkı Yasık struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Serhat Akartürk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esentepe SK. In the 39th minute Ferit Gökdoğan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nurkan Binışık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Serhat Akartürk managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Esentepe SK's Süruri Sanih fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Süruri Sanih made the kick off in the second half. Nurkan Binışık made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferit Gökdoğan in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü booed when Esentepe SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arslan Uzgoren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esentepe SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rıfkı Yasık was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serhat Akartürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esentepe SK were furious when Arslan Uzgoren was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Esentepe SK! The goalkeeper, Nurkan Binışık, was totally fooled by Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü's Ferit Gökdoğan, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 68 minutes into the match, Necmi Sidar notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Esentepe SK's Nurkan Binışık. Nurkan Binışık was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 75th minute, Mustafa Birol Sökmensu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rıfkı Yasık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The Esentepe SK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü's performance. The match ended with a win for Kırlıoglu Futbol Kulübü.
