The tension between the E J D E R Y A and the Istanbulspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Behlül Tefhim kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Rıfat Süleyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlbey Keskinel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 played minutes E J D E R Y A got a freekick which was hit by Aktan Ocakçı. When Uğuralp Öğün came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Istanbulspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uğuralp Öğün couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, E J D E R Y A's goal looked a bit too open when Atilla Oker came free, but Rıfat Süleyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlbey Keskinel in the 13th minute of play forced E J D E R Y A's goalkeeper Rıfat Süleyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rıfat Süleyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Işık İzgü in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, E J D E R Y A's goal looked a bit too open when Besim Uluerkan came free, but Rıfat Süleyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. E J D E R Y A's Rıfat Süleyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Besim Uluerkan in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Atilla Oker notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of E J D E R Y A's Rıfat Süleyman. Rıfat Süleyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 played minutes Istanbulspor got a freekick which was hit by Şinasi Uruz. The supporters of Istanbulspor booed when E J D E R Y A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behlül Tefhim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Uğuralp Öğün sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rıfat Süleyman skillfully saved the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Şinasi Uruz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of E J D E R Y A's Rıfat Süleyman. Rıfat Süleyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rıfat Süleyman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilla Oker went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, İlbey Keskinel notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of E J D E R Y A's Rıfat Süleyman. Rıfat Süleyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Şinasi Uruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. E J D E R Y A's Rıfat Süleyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlbey Keskinel in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dündar Beyazit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Besim Uluerkan in the 54th minute of play forced E J D E R Y A's goalkeeper Rıfat Süleyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rıfat Süleyman made an important save on a dangerous shot by İlbey Keskinel in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, İlbey Keskinel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rıfat Süleyman. E J D E R Y A's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İlbey Keskinel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Rıfat Süleyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Işık İzgü in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, E J D E R Y A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilmi Babür to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, E J D E R Y A's goal looked a bit too open when Besim Uluerkan came free, but Rıfat Süleyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şinasi Uruz struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Rıfat Süleyman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Istanbulspor. İlbey Keskinel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Rıfat Süleyman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rıfat Süleyman made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Atilla Oker sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Istanbulspor's Rıfat Süleyman threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Işık İzgü, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Besim Uluerkan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rıfat Süleyman. That made the score 0-6 in the 89 minute of play. İlbey Keskinel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Rıfat Süleyman made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Şinasi Uruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, E J D E R Y A's goalkeeper Rıfat Süleyman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atilla Oker.
