The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Erkilet SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arslan Kutsan came free, but Mehmet Şefik Nesil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match, Türker Korhan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mehmet Şefik Nesil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arslan Kutsan got free with Mehmet Şefik Nesil in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Yakakent's Arslan Kutsan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mehmet Şefik Nesil. Mehmet Şefik Nesil yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Yakakent's Arslan Kutsan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmet Şefik Nesil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Feng Guang Ling hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Mehmet Şefik Nesil successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Arslan Kutsan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arslan Kutsan in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Şefik Nesil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arslan Kutsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahadır Arpacı in the 35th minute of play forced Yakakent's goalkeeper Fatsali Türkoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fatsali Türkoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdullatif Ulunay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Abdullatif Ulunay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Erkilet SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şafak Balcan to maneuver through the defense. Necmi Lefter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Şefik Nesil having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arslan Kutsan was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Erkilet SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arslan Kutsan came free, but Mehmet Şefik Nesil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necmi Lefter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Arslan Kutsan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yakakent's supporters rose to their feet, but Arslan Kutsan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Şefik Nesil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arslan Kutsan in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Şefik Nesil saved Erkilet SK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Türker Korhan in the 66th minute of play forced Erkilet SK's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Nesil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes, Arslan Kutsan made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Erkilet SK's Mehmet Şefik Nesil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Yakakent's Necmi Lefter got a free kick in the 74th minute. Mehmet Şefik Nesil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arslan Kutsan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Necmi Lefter kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Kayacan Kadri's late challenge caught a Erkilet SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kayacan Kadri helped the player get up and apologised. Kayacan Kadri hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Arslan Kutsan put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mehmet Şefik Nesil. An unexpectedly hard shot by Namık Yalçuk in the 92nd minute of play forced Yakakent's goalkeeper Fatsali Türkoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdullatif Ulunay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fatsali Türkoğlu having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Erkilet SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arslan Kutsan came free, but Mehmet Şefik Nesil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Yakakent fans cheered their team off the field, for while Erkilet SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
