The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Tatvan's Doğukan Nuralp got control of the ball when Sait Türkoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tatvan's Bayram Acemoğlu got a free kick in the 14th minute. Doğukan Nuralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tayfun Hızlı in the 17th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Doğukan Nuralp successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when Tatvan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halim Akyazıcı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Metehan Nedret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Yıldırım Hamurcuoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tatvan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yıldırım Hamurcuoğlu couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yıldırım Hamurcuoğlu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Tatvan getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ali Çağrı Gümüşcü hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Metehan Nedret in the 87th minute of play forced Tatvan's goalkeeper Doğukan Nuralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doğukan Nuralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sait Türkoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Metehan Nedret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tatvan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
