Halim Özgurel ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abidin Ekincioğlu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cüneyt Uğuz saved FENERBAHÇE from getting behind. After 32 played minutes FENERBAHÇE got a freekick which was hit by Tibet Öğüç. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abidin Ekincioğlu in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cüneyt Uğuz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bayezit Necid in the 36th minute of play forced Maltepespor SK's goalkeeper Izydor Solibieda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mehmet Çağrı Başdaş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maltepespor SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Çağrı Başdaş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The FENERBAHÇE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maltepespor SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
