The audience thought a goal was coming when Gani Hanönü got free with Berker Cihanmert in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Evren's Berker Cihanmert got control of the ball when Gani Hanönü tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to YARRAMINKAFASI getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Melih Kambay hit a great ball. YARRAMINKAFASI's Enginsu Başkaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulaş Nurtac in the 16th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Evren got a freekick which was hit by Reşat Zişan. The supporters of YARRAMINKAFASI booed when Evren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Hakan İlkcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ulaş Nurtac sped through YARRAMINKAFASI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enginsu Başkaya. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulaş Nurtac in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enginsu Başkaya saved YARRAMINKAFASI from getting behind. Berker Cihanmert was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Haşmet Birsel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Haşmet Birsel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After the first half Evren were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Haşmet Birsel hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ahmet Hakan İlkcan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enginsu Başkaya. YARRAMINKAFASI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Berker Cihanmert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gani Hanönü in the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in YARRAMINKAFASI's zone, Yağız Nurkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enginsu Başkaya came out of the goal and Yağız Nurkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haşmet Birsel's late challenge caught a Evren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haşmet Birsel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Haşmet Birsel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tunç Haliç made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Evren's Reşat Zişan. When the final whistle sounded Evren left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than YARRAMINKAFASI.
