In the 17th minute, Durmuş Tuney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Macka defense, Yüksel Sait kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baykam Eyüp. The Macka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baykam Eyüp should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Macka's goal looked a bit too open when Yüksel Sait came free, but Baykam Eyüp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulaş Şenol hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Harbiye FK's Tansu Irmak got a free kick in the 30th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Onur İmar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yüksel Sait received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Baykam Eyüp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Nedim Akçakan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baykam Eyüp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Macka fully deserved thier win.
