Orbay Kızılateş didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Mattos in the 9th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Batı Hatipoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Meziro JK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Orbay Kızılateş hit a great ball. Kadri Cantürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esen Turalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Meziro JK defense, Esen Turalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kadri Cantürk. The Meziro JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kadri Cantürk should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Meziro JK's goalkeeper Kadri Cantürk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gani Tuğaltan. Gani Tuğaltan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes of play, Galatasaray's Gani Tuğaltan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kadri Cantürk was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Gani Tuğaltan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meziro JK's Kadri Cantürk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's Gani Tuğaltan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kadri Cantürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Behram Çağlayan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Metin Tunalı fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meziro JK's protests and gave Metin Tunalı a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Meziro JK got a freekick which was hit by Metin Tunalı. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Seyfi Tozun got a free kick in the 89th minute. Galatasaray's Batı Hatipoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metin Tunalı in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Orbay Kızılateş sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Batı Hatipoğlu skillfully saved the ball. Metin Tunalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batı Hatipoğlu having to interfere.
