Özal Unsur hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Merih Ongul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hıncal Girgin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, DEV BİR TÜRK's goalkeeper Merih Ongul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orhan Seyfi Bilge. The supporters of Osmangazi booed when DEV BİR TÜRK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güngör User didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hıncal Girgin in the 39th minute of play forced DEV BİR TÜRK's goalkeeper Merih Ongul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes DEV BİR TÜRK got a freekick which was hit by Vatan Acaralp. The audience was convinced that Hıncal Girgin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merih Ongul was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. If Seyfi Memduh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ediz Demircioğlu was the one to do the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hıncal Girgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orhan Seyfi Bilge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merih Ongul having to interfere. After 65 played minutes DEV BİR TÜRK got a freekick which was hit by Saadettin Serhad. Merih Ongul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orhan Seyfi Bilge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hıncal Girgin in the 88th minute of play forced DEV BİR TÜRK's goalkeeper Merih Ongul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hıncal Girgin in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merih Ongul saved DEV BİR TÜRK from getting behind. DEV BİR TÜRK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
