The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Süleyman Kınık a yellow card for diving instead. Şadi Özpinar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Asım Canay in the 7th minute of play. Süleyman Kınık kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Asım Canay came free, but Şadi Özpinar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Arif Kalgay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semih Ahioğlu having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Mustafa Arif Kalgay made a precise shot to the right of Semih Ahioğlu. Arpacay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some careless play in the Galatasaray defense, Abay Ataner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şadi Özpinar. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şadi Özpinar should have stopped the shot. Semih Ahioğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berkay Uçma in the 33rd minute of play. Şadi Özpinar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abay Ataner, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Şadi Özpinar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abay Ataner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abay Ataner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Şadi Özpinar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abay Ataner to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Arpacay got a freekick which was hit by Pars İlksen. In the 55th minute, Necip Fazıl Dersu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Arpacay's Semih Ahioğlu didn't even have to move. Abay Ataner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şadi Özpinar having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Abay Ataner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Şadi Özpinar, 1-2. In the 68th minute, Bircan Keyhüsrev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by İstemihan Vecdet in the 69th minute really tested Şadi Özpinar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Abay Ataner was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ahmet Asım Canay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Berkay Uçma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bircan Keyhüsrev kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Ahmet Asım Canay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Şadi Özpinar. Ahmet Asım Canay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. If Berkay Uçma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sufi Uzay fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arpacay's protests and gave Sufi Uzay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Berkay Uçma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Semih Ahioğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 95th match minute, Arpacay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sufi Uzay to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arpacay walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
