The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hayati As during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Türk Deniz Korsanları's Hayati As got a free kick in the 13th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Türköne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lütfi Saraç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Ivan Barbu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Alptekin Baycan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Türk Deniz Korsanları's goalkeeper Menderes Vefalı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedor Tarasov. In the 30th minute, Hayati As got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Türk Deniz Korsanları's goalkeeper Menderes Vefalı, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Menderes Vefalı stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hette Hoffhuis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 36 played minutes KADIKÖY got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Bedri Perk. With a little luck, Türk Deniz Korsanları's Menderes Vefalı got control of the ball when Hette Hoffhuis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Menderes Vefalı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hette Hoffhuis in the 40th minute of play. Lütfi Saraç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hayati As's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hette Hoffhuis was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Fevzi Tacal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menderes Vefalı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hette Hoffhuis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Menderes Vefalı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hette Hoffhuis in the 54th minute of play. Menderes Vefalı came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by KADIKÖY's Fedor Tarasov. But to his dismay, Fedor Tarasov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Menderes Vefalı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fedor Tarasov went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Demirhan Taşer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lütfi Saraç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Cumhur Türköne, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Demirhan Taşer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hayati As could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Lütfi Saraç made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KADIKÖY fans cheered their team off the field, for while Türk Deniz Korsanları had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
