Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 60) Hristivoj Stoichkov made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hristivoj Stoichkov in the 4th minute of play forced Ankara's goalkeeper Geovânio Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ankara's Yusuf Bahadır Namal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vahap Uğurhan, made in the 6th minute of the game. Hristivoj Stoichkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Geovânio Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emir Çile was a little too slow when Hurşit Tunçaslan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Hurşit Tunçaslan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emir Çile. Ekvator Ginesi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hurşit Tunçaslan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mustafa Bozer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Moreno having to interfere. Emir Çile was a little too slow when Güntekin Cevher got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. After having played for 38 minutes, Hurşit Tunçaslan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ankara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hurşit Tunçaslan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Hristivoj Stoichkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ankara's Geovânio Moreno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ankara's Asım Arif Demirkan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emir Çile. That made the score 4-0 after 43 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hurşit Tunçaslan to make the kick off. When Asım Arif Demirkan came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ankara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asım Arif Demirkan couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Hristivoj Stoichkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Moreno. Ekvator Ginesi were furious when Doğuş Ekici was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 65 minutes into the game, one of Ekvator Ginesi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 73 minutes into the match, Ekvator Ginesi's goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Bahadır Namal came free, but Emir Çile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yusuf Bahadır Namal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Ekvator Ginesi's Hristivoj Stoichkov got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Hurşit Tunçaslan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emir Çile having to interfere. Yusuf Bahadır Namal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hurşit Tunçaslan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ankara's attentive Yusuf Bahadır Namal managed to snatch the ball when Vahap Uğurhan made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. In the 97thth minute of the game Hurşit Tunçaslan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ekvator Ginesi's Emir Çile was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ankara fully deserved thier win.
