Gani Pamirhan was slow to take the kick. During this time ACITAN VURUŞ S.K.'s players had a chance to rest. A collision led to ACITAN VURUŞ S.K. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gökhun Mutluer hit a great ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kocaelispor's goalkeeper Murat Selim Zaik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kocaelispor's Batu Cem Mertkal got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Adanır made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ospin Horcajo immediately put the ball in play. Turgay Şeren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ilie Vergulescu's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Kocaelispor's goal looked a bit too open when Gani Pamirhan came free, but Murat Selim Zaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, ACITAN VURUŞ S.K.'s Gani Pamirhan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murat Selim Zaik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 20 played minutes ACITAN VURUŞ S.K. got a freekick which was hit by Bahattin Tuğsan. 21 minutes into the match, ACITAN VURUŞ S.K.'s Gani Pamirhan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murat Selim Zaik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Generoso Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murat Selim Zaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gani Pamirhan in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murat Selim Zaik saved Kocaelispor from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Batu Cem Mertkal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bahattin Tuğsan hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kocaelispor getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ospin Horcajo hit a great ball. Afşin Keykubad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gani Pamirhan to make the kick off. When Kocaelispor's Ilie Vergulescu in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With his leg Murat Selim Zaik managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when ACITAN VURUŞ S.K.'s Gani Pamirhan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A nice corner shot did that Gani Pamirhan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Murat Selim Zaik quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 69 minutes into the match, Kocaelispor's goal looked a bit too open when Gani Pamirhan came free, but Murat Selim Zaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Kocaelispor got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Şahan. A collision led to ACITAN VURUŞ S.K. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bahattin Tuğsan hit a great ball. Gani Pamirhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Murat Selim Zaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Kocaelispor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abidin Okatay to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Generoso Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murat Selim Zaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Kocaelispor's Batu Cem Mertkal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Turgay Şeren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 89 played minutes Kocaelispor got a freekick which was hit by Abidin Okatay. Tarkan Sargın kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 96th play minutes Batu Cem Mertkal shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Turgay Şeren and just under the crossbar into goal. ACITAN VURUŞ S.K.'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kocaelispor had won, even though ACITAN VURUŞ S.K. had held more of the ball.
