Spectators: 7738 (Terracing: 5805, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) GaLaTaSaRaY's Eusébio Viana started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gunnar Lahe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karhan Tekiner in the 2nd minute of play. When Berk Tugal fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yeşilova's protests and gave Berk Tugal a yellow card for diving instead. GaLaTaSaRaY's Gunnar Lahe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karhan Tekiner in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yeşilova's Karhan Tekiner got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute Eusébio Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil Utku Yalçınkaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akgün Ferhat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halil Utku Yalçınkaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Halil Utku Yalçınkaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arın Erendiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karhan Tekiner in the 24th minute of play forced GaLaTaSaRaY's goalkeeper Gunnar Lahe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eusébio Viana came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the GaLaTaSaRaY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Viana couldn't finish the play. Yeşilova's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Akgün Ferhat scored to the left of an out of position Halil Utku Yalçınkaya, making the score, 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Köksal Vefai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Köksal Vefai kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Gunnar Lahe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Daverveld, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes Yeşilova got a freekick which was hit by Sermet Uruk. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Daverveld was the one to do the kick off. Eusébio Viana scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Halil Utku Yalçınkaya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Köksal Vefai was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. GaLaTaSaRaY made a substitution. Dong Wen Xuan replaced Eusébio Viana. After 60 played minutes Yeşilova got a freekick which was hit by Köksal Vefai. Korcan Sezginay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Halil Utku Yalçınkaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akgün Ferhat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Utku Yalçınkaya having to interfere. In the 71st minute Dong Wen Xuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil Utku Yalçınkaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Yeşilova defense, Dong Wen Xuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Halil Utku Yalçınkaya. The Yeşilova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halil Utku Yalçınkaya should have stopped the shot. Arın Erendiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GaLaTaSaRaY's Korcan Sezginay got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 86 minutes of play, GaLaTaSaRaY's Dong Wen Xuan made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Halil Utku Yalçınkaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! Akgün Ferhat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Halil Utku Yalçınkaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Yeşilova's goal looked a bit too open when Korcan Sezginay came free, but Halil Utku Yalçınkaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Arın Erendiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Halil Utku Yalçınkaya was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 95th minute, Arın Erendiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, GaLaTaSaRaY's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jan Daverveld fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee ended the match the GaLaTaSaRaY players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
