After 4 played minutes GaLaTaSaRaY got a freekick which was hit by Faik Ekabir. Saruhan Yalın came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by GaLaTaSaRaY's Dong Wen Xuan. But to his dismay, Dong Wen Xuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Saruhan Yalın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arın Erendiz in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korcan Sezginay in the 18th minute of play forced Gariban Altyapı's goalkeeper Saruhan Yalın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Eusébio Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saruhan Yalın. Gariban Altyapı's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Viana in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saruhan Yalın prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Korcan Sezginay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saruhan Yalın having to interfere. Gariban Altyapı's Saruhan Yalın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Viana in the 36th minute of play. Saruhan Yalın came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by GaLaTaSaRaY's Eusébio Viana. But to his dismay, Eusébio Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Viana in the 45th minute of play forced Gariban Altyapı's goalkeeper Saruhan Yalın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Eusébio Viana made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Gariban Altyapı's Saruhan Yalın tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half GaLaTaSaRaY were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. GaLaTaSaRaY's Gunnar Lahe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdullatif Ekiner in the 55th minute of play. Saruhan Yalın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Viana in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute Dong Wen Xuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saruhan Yalın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, GaLaTaSaRaY's Eusébio Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saruhan Yalın made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Saruhan Yalın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Viana in the 69th minute of play. Saruhan Yalın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Viana in the 71st minute. Saruhan Yalın stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Viana's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Adnan Bürgehan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
