After 24 minutes Darıca Gençlerbirliği's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bora Han Göktürk who took care of the corner kick. But to his dismay, Kurtuluş Gelenbe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's Yiğitcan İncili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlhan Urkan in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurtuluş Gelenbe in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doruk Asker prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İlhan Urkan to make the kick off. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave bonjour the free kick. After 76 played minutes Darıca Gençlerbirliği got a freekick which was hit by Frode Ruud. After taking down the ball on Darıca Gençlerbirliği's corner Frode Ruud fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Doruk Asker quite easily take care of the ball. Kurtuluş Gelenbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute, Kurtuluş Gelenbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Darıca Gençlerbirliği had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
