Seyhan Öktemer was slow to take the kick. During this time Galatasaray's players had a chance to rest. After 13 minutes, Ferid Songur made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Göktuğ Eker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Erdem Semavi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Kalecik fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Galatasaray were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
