The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Achinsk's Kazemir Nazarov got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Maksim Derbyshev fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Achinsk's protests and gave Maksim Derbyshev a yellow card for diving instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vyacheslav Babushkin couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kazemir Nazarov to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Kirbabaev FC's Albert Esipov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Volko Schnell. That made the score 0-1 after 52 minutes of play. Danila Belousov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Babushkin in the 59th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Albert Esipov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Volko Schnell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Kirbabaev FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Albert Esipov hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Kirbabaev FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladislav Filatov. Kazemir Nazarov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Evgeniy Kudryavtsev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volko Schnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
